Two top 50’s!

Last year our Matahiwi Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2019 was awarded Gold and Top 50 of the New World Wine Awards. It was exciting to have our Wairarapa Sauvignon Blanc showcased across the country!

We started this year with our Holly Pinot Noir 2018 being awarded Top 50 of the Metro Magazines 2020. “Matahiwi is one of those estates in the wider Wairarapa that tends to fly in the shadow cast by the more high-profile wineries in and around Martinborough. But this bottle is a third of the price of a Martinborough pinot noir and still delivers the goods. Holly is Matahiwi Estate’s flagship range and the pinot noir is made from a selection of parcels and clones in the estate’s vineyard. A really intriguing concoction of flavours, with some stemmy notes, a bit of toasty oak and some bacon fat. Dry, balanced, and well made. ”
